I haven't played an actor, but ever so briefly and only then because I was unaware that Road to Fame had been upgraded to augment Get Famous with a singing career! I was determined Erik was going to success one way or another. I was ecstatic when I learned about RTF, which I dumped once I heard GF was coming. Needless to say, I did a full restart on that game save with the new RTF installed.
It is sad that a Global Superstar Actor isn't paid as well as ordinary jobs. I find it curious that the emphasis was on government jobs paying better. I could get full-on political, but I won't since that's against the rules. My teen hit Global Superstar before he aged up to YA. He has over §600K+ to date. He's quite rich. He holds concerts at §10K a pop (he can do this live or away, which is a rabbit hole), gets paid §5000 to do a photoshoot for a magazine cover (again this can be live or a rabbit hole you choose), §2500 for promoting a digital book or a song via his Simstagram account, and §500 to do exclusive interviews with the Paparazzi. We're not even talking about the royalties he makes from his 11 albums @ 750 per album, plus the individual music he turns out, which varies, plus the song lyrics he's written, which also varies.
If you're dead set on the acting career, I'm not sure if this mod will help you. But, it's great if you wanted a singer Sim. :)
