Do sick sims actually die? [CLOSED DISCUSSION]

Illness from GTW? Not that I know of, my sims get sick from time to time and honestly I’m too lazy to waste my time going on the computer to buy medicine for them. Or make some tea, so I just let it be even if they do get a moodlet and get skin marks. None of my sims ever died though this way.

Not that I know... I want to know too if it's possible..

they don't die, unless you count poison from JA then yeah they can die

As far as I know the only one with a chance to kill them is the pet one from the rat thing in the cage from pet stuff. And I'm assuming it does because it says it will in the loading screen, if untreated it can kill your sim it says.

They cannot die from Get to Work illnesses. However, that illness that causes sims to giggle may lead to death by laughter if sim has too many happy and playful moodlets. (It happens rarely and can be avoided by making your sim sleep or taking medicine)
Jungle Adventure allows your sim to be poisoned by various ways. This leads to death if antidote isn't found within 4 days. Poisoning may go away on its own after 12 hours.
Finally, My First Pet stuff pack adds Rapid Rodent Disease. This illness can come when sim gets bitten by a rodent in an unclean cage. If sim doesn't get cured within three days, they'll die. On the third day, the disease can spread to other sims that get near them.

Maybe you’re mixing up 2 and 4? I think they could die from illness in ts2

Yep they could die from Food poisoning in Sims 2 - - but as far as I know it doesn't kill them any more. I had a sim die of food poisoning in Sims 2 and he would replay his own death over and over as a ghost - turning green and grabbing his throat. It was creepy.
