- age them up! I find them boring and also get too nosey and want to immediately know what the child will look like (I go into create a sim when they are a toddler and age up to an adult then age back down)
- I let them age naturally because I feel like the 3 sim days they’re a baby isn’t that long, plus I like to feel like they have a newborn after they give birth lol it goes with the moodlet.
- I like to show off the baby to my sims friends and enjoy the toddler free days while they last :'(
- I like the chaos in the household when there is a new baby plus I use this time to increase baby's relationship with other household members. Plus I play with aging off and age off when I feel ready.
- I usually age them up manually after one full sim day I don't even remember the default amount of days they stay babies
- I like the parents and every other family member to spend time with the baby and have them get to know each other better.
- I play with aging off so I have to age them up manually, I usually let them stay babies for one sim day, unless it's a challenge I'm doing with specific age rules. I did get triplets once which I instantly aged up because that's way to much to handle at once.
- GalacticGal8 years agoLegendI have to quantify my answer. It all depends on what's going on in my game. Sometimes, it's beneficial to allow the baby to age up on its own, whereas, if I'm trying to space the children it may be necessary to age up the baby manually.
- oxfordsplice8 years agoNew VeteranGenerally I let them age naturally. It's an easy enough way for their sim parents to gain parenting skills. There are exceptions, of course.
- Perthelia8 years agoSeasoned AceI almost always let them age up naturally, especially if there's a decent number of caretakers in the household (vampires make great babysitters). However if they're being particularly annoying I'll age them up at the one-day warning. The more of them there are, the longer I'll put off aging them up, though, because I've been through triplet toddlers a few times and that's not an experience which improves with repetition.
