Do you give your sims a different hairstyle for bedtime?
If your sim wears their hair up or half up, do you give them a different hairstyle for bedtime, as if they took their hair down (or maybe braided it before going to bed)?

- Yes - females only. Heck I give them different hairstyles for each change of clothes!
- I picked yes because I do sometimes - it depends on what their everyday style is.
- I like to try and do "believable" hairstyles that would make sense.
If my sim normally wears his/her hair in an updo, I'll try to find a hairstyle that would "match" it while down.
Vice versa for hair that is normally down. I'll try to find one that is similar (bangs, hair partings, supposed length) for an updo style for formal/athletic wear. - I try to if I remember to. What I need to know is why Maxis constantly wants to send my Sims to bed in glasses in CAS when I haven't used glasses for any other of the outfits!

I used to do that too for "every" category the right hairstyle. But then I started giving every Sim their "own" hairstyle, I mean, that they'll wear that hairdo forever because its' just their. Like, I would never change Bellas hair, because it belongs to her :) . - I don't look at Sims while they're sleeping so their hair doesn't matter to me. When my Sims sleep they have the same hairstyle s that they wear with casual outfits. If I could find hairstyles that "match" in length or volume then I might have them wear various styles.
I do change hairstyles of premade Sims to suit what, I think, is in character for a particular Sim. Liberty Lee was one of the first premade Sims that I ran into that had various hairstyles for her outfits. The length and volume didn't match so I changed them. - Yep, I am guilty of giving the bed head look to all my Sims...even the kids. I also like adding a comfy everyday outift that includes sweats and t-shirts with a messy hairdo just for those days my Sims want to be lazy. They binge watch movies or sports and eat ice cream, or play video games all day. I like giving the game a bit of reality, and seeing my Sims always looking perfect gets boring so I mix things up a bit. It's funny when the entire family gets a day to hang out in sweats and bad hair. It makes them seem a bit more realistic. :)

I voted yes and I obsess as much as you. However, I often like to have their everyday hair as a good shower outfit (especially for Sims 4 because I couldn't change it, at least as far as I knew) after I noticed my Simself shampooing her bun (no!). But then I get stuck in a rut with fewer everyday options, so I try to mix it up (and I can technically later set a different naked style in TS3, which is all I play now).
It doesn't always matter about saving all that time and energy because often their athletic hair needs to be pulled back, so with many hairstyles that's moot, they'll need at least two (and probably formal too!). I just put up with the extra time and obsessiveness making sure the length, bangs, etc. fit, although sometimes I say they straighten or curl it and let that go. This is one reason having a lot of CC hair is nice.
Sometimes their everyday hair is down, but too neat, then I might try to find a messy sleep hair. It can be fun, not ALL torture. ;) Other Sims just get "limper" sleep hair, sometimes I put a lot more effort in. With some background townies I edit, I'll hold back a lot more.
I probably prefer extra obsessing, personally, hahaha. :D I don't "waste" time ruling out styles (or so I feel, hah). It's fun but frustrating and gives me more wishlist items for TS5, hehe. (Separate bangs! Moldable hair!)
I guess it's part of the fun and why I only like God(dess) games. :tongue: It's an outlet to channel and calm my control freak, always obsessivesideself.
