- moppy14w2 years agoSeasoned AceApproximately 99.7% of the time the pregnancy (number of offspring and gender) is left to chance/the game large. Occasionally a Sim already has a busy house with previous offspring and I simply could NOT handle a multiple birth. In which case I may just choose to reduce to a single baby using MCCC.
- Neither?
no mods in my game
I mostly just leave it up to game to decide
but I do sometimes influence baby gender via the carrots / strawberries and music thing
and if I really want it to be twins or triplets i might add ley line lot trait
most of the time I immediately check if sim is pregnant and if i wanted them to be and they're not they'll try again
i do sometimes tempt fate by using have a baby instead of woohoo too though in which scenario yeah I'll just wait and see if it resulted in something
if i get twins triplets random chance I'll just roll with it - If I have specific plans for a particular Sim and that doesn't entail a rug-rat right away, then MCCC is really handy. I'll often let Sims I'm not actively playing and Townies to have a baby. I think it's good, and it adds a bit of variety. As long as the townie sims don't leave the baby on a bench or something and play computer games all day. That's rather irresponsible.
- Brd7092 years agoSeasoned AceIf you have MCCC that does random pregnancy. Sometimes when i've decided that my sim self is done with having children, MCCC throws a curveball in when playing another household and he's about to bring up another one.
- Gamer_Cat242 years agoNew ScoutI don't have mods to do that, and I tend to just see what I get.
I have been lucky that I have about an even amount of boys and girls, so that isn't an issue.
Also, I like to be surprised, because what my Sims get as kids may change how I play them.
I have been surprised with my first set of male triplets, which would not have been as much fun if I already knew what was going to happen.
Been crazy about the science baby thing, and have gotten twins, and single babies with it. - GalacticGal2 years agoLegendFor some of my families where the gender and birth order are already set, I allow my Sims to try for baby, and then I check with MCCC to be certain of the gender and number of babies. With Erik and Kayleigh, the first time out, I allowed the game to decide, so it was all natural. The second pregnancy yielding identical twin girls threw me for a loop, but since that game save is long since gone, I've been attempting to get back to where it was before I lost the save. So now, I am in complete control of the gender and birth order.
- atreya332 years agoLegendFor most sims I go with what the game gives. I do use mccc to check the number of babies and the gender nearly always but mostly I don't change it. Sometimes however I have a specific story in mind for a particular sim and I do change it.
- cchant862 years agoSeasoned VeteranJust about everything in my game I leave random, but after 5 girls in a row, I was tempted to "influence" a boy for the current pregnancy, but didn't. She had another girl (!!) and later adopted a boy.
- sclevenger082 years agoSeasoned HotshotI don't have any mods or anything in my game but I just use the CAS cheat to change the baby as needed. It's 50/50, if I have a storyline planned around a certain birthing order then I'll change it but otherwise I just let it happen and work the story whatever I get. Just depends on what I'm doing.
- LadyGray012 years agoSeasoned AceNo mods in my game except No Mosaic and a Sunray effect nuker.
