Do you make your sim self?

I explained in another discussion that I’m constantly making my sim self and not getting past the one generation, so I’m going to break the habit today! :)
So I’m interested do you make your sim self or not?
And why?

Many years ago in TS2. Can't do it in 4.

I'm the opposite. I couldn't make Sim Me in TS2 but in TS3 and TS4 I could.

I've made my simself a couple times, still not for Sims 4 though. I think it would be fun, but like a lot of people on this thread, the death creeps me out. I could always play her with aging off though...

I do and I use her to explore game mechanics I'm unfamiliar with/learn the ropes of the game as each new pack is released. She's also my avatar.
