Do you prefer homes with clutter or without?

In retrospect I should've probably picked the second option but oh well. Like others on here, I like the "lived in" look. Now the amount and what kind of clutter are also important aspects tbh. I almost solely play storylines with my sims and part of visual storytelling ( for me at least ) are interesting backgrounds and environments that can tell you something about the people living in them, and sometimes even tell their own little stories.

I tend to make my Sims' homes as small as possible, while still incorporating all the things they need and adequate room for routing. So, anything that doesn't have a function isn't going to fit in my house. (And I'm with the posters who are trying rid their own homes of clutter. I've got enough crap all over my real house.)

I'm not sure if the outdoor plants (the non-gardening flowers and trees in build mode) have any effect on Sims, but I do use those. Otherwise, the lots look like they're in one of the those brand-new suburbs with no trees or flowers. So, I guess that in that sense, I use clutter.

I like clutter that reflect the Sims that live in the house. :)

I chose the answer "a little bit of clutter", but I thought of that as in the beginning, when getting a new house. I only want there to be some clutter, so my sims can add their own and make the house their own. Later on playing the family my answer might be closer to "clutter in reasonable amounts". I don't use MOO though, so that sets some limits.

I hate clutter in RL, so I keep my sims homes clutter free and they look great!

I used to do like a fair amount of clutter in my sims' houses. Nowadays I don't really build that much because I just don't have time or motivation. Whenever I play Sims I usually play with a family and I never even furnish their house fully because they don't have the funds or I just can't be bothered :''D

It depends but I have a habit when I find a house that will fit my sims that I will download it unfurnished. I am a great decorator but horrible builder so I use the house and put my own touch in them.

I like my homes to look lived in but not crowded either. I'll put things on the counters, dressers, and shelves and maybe some toys on the floor of kids rooms but that's about it.
