No, I didn’t miss it. But where does it say that those are EPs for TS4? Maybe only one of them will ever be released and then it could be a GP for TS4 or maybe even some pack for TS5?
Grant specifically clarified later that the poll is for TS4 and not TS5.

I notice two things:
1. He said pack and not expansion pack. So we don’t know what kind of pack it will be.
2. “After some normal stuff” likely means after the packs they make in the rest of 2018 or just after one of those packs. So it could be some extra pack they will make while we wait for TS5 to be released.
I'd say by "normal" stuff it means things like University, maybe a revamped Generations to add more features for all ages (teens and elders need some attention), the Farming pack -- things that would be attractive to folks looking for everyday activity for their Sims. Then maybe they get into the wild and crazy stuff like supernaturals and the stuff on the poll. As long as we're able to turn off the features (I don't want End of the World to affect all my saves) I'm fine.
You answered a message that I wrote before I saw that Grant plans new content for TS4 “for years”. But this changes everything because I still don’t believe that the next big Sims game is several years away. Therefore I now have to think about how EA likely will continue to release new content for TS4 even years after TS5 has been released and what this means for TS5.
I don’t think that “normal” just means repetitions of old “traditional” packs though. But it likely means packs and content that they already have decided to make.- janyses7 years agoSeasoned Ace

By 'normal,' he meant packs that are not 'whacky' like the ones in his poll. Which would definitely include some traditional packs. Remember, he started by asking about whacky expansions, then explained to a simmer who likes reality-based packs that we will get more normal ones first:

Context is everything. B) - XxAirixX7 years agoSeasoned AceNo. One, Grant said that the Sims 4 isn't ending anytime soon and told people to stop spreading that rumor and two we usually get one expansion a year with Sims 4 and a few game and stuff packs. So I say we will probably get maybe on more game pack and a stuff pack.

I'm not sure why but I had a feeling we were going to get 2 EP's this year, so the fact that they're releasing one half way through the year makes me think I might be right. Previously they must have been working on the next EP to come out, C&D and seasons. Now they can just work on the next EP and the one after that. But who knows, I'm going to assume it's not happening so I don't get my hopes up anyway.
In regards to whether they will keep going with TS4 for years, Grant said this
https://twitter.com/SimGuruGrant/status/999313714204454913
Oh They have realized that after nearly 4 years we are only on expansion 5. we might of had more if they gave the stuff packs a rest- Loanet7 years agoSeasoned AceWe'd better not; this one was rushed enough.
- Well EA's CEO said Sims 4 for PC is set to get a "great deal of more content this year", so I hope we get another expansion pack!

This time I would say No because they will certainly release a GP in October or November.
Certainly? I highly doubt that. They've never released a GP in the October to December quarter, for instance. If anything, I'd expect a GP in the next quarter (July-September). - elelunicy7 years agoSeasoned Ace

I know. You have just answered a very old message from me where I still expected EA to stop releasing packs for TS4 when TS5 is released. But even though that would be the traditional way I don’t believe at all anymore that this will happen this time. What I instead expect now is that EA as usually will release a new basegame (TS5) after 5 years but not stop making packs for TS4 anyway. The reasons for this change most likely are:
1. EA has always lost more than half of the current simmers every time EA has released a new basegame.
2. It is important though for EA to release a new basegame after 5 years because an old basegame with way too many already released packs don’t attract many new simmers.
3. EA wants as many games as possible to become multiplayer because that is usually what young gamers prefer and it gives also EA much better options for ingame advertising if the games are multiplayer and mainly online. But EA also know that older simmers likely won’t like this idea. So it is better to release more packs for TS4 even after TS5 has been released.
4. I think that EA mainly plans to let the Sims 5 developers make extra content for TS5 while the current Sims 4 devs likely just will continue to make new content for TS4 for a couple of more years. This also means that EA likely won’t start developing TS6 very soon and that TS5 therefore also according to EA’s plans will get a longer life than the big Sims games usually have had."Erpe;c-16517411" wrote:
