Doctor career

I've never seen that interaction before, so I'm curious what is it does, too.

How did you get your sim to the hospital if it's their day off? I thought the lot could only be accessed when they went to work?

Yes that is what I'm very curious about too. :D Let me explain what happens about my active households.
I'm currently playing 3 households in shift. A single man sim is an actor and living alone. I call him V sim.
Another one is Kim Family has 3 members and one of them is a doctor. I call him J sim. J sim has 2 sons.
The last one is R sim and he is also a doctor. He is living with a male sim who is a red haired son of Kim Family.

When Doctor J is day off, I work with Doctor R in the hospital. And Doctor J just visits hospital in inactive status.
I cannot control doctor J while controlling doctor R. Also when I work with doctor J in the hospital,
doctor R works as assistant at the front desk. I even don't use MCC story mod.
I don't use any other mods related with doctor career.
Yesterday, I got into the hospital with doctor J for work. The work started at 9 am.
An hour later, J's brown haired son got off to work for Secret Agent.
But suddenly, he finished his work since 2 mins in sim time and appeared at the hospital lot.
I knew it's not allowed that other active family member visits the Get to Work place.
But he did..!!! He showed up at hospital lot. I tried him to go back home but there was no 'go home' interaction on him.
Also doctor R..ah no no Assistant R..was working at the front desk while doctor J was working with patients.
So I asked brown haired sim write a novel on computer and then asked doctor R ..no no..Assistant R mentor J's son for writing skill.

Next day, I activated Kim family and selected J sim. After loading screen, I got surprised that I was moved into hospital lot at 6am.
Oh god...I found J sim sitting in everyday clothes at the computer in hospital. More surprise thing happened.
I found doctor R was working at the front desk in assistant clothing.
I couldn't believe my eyes because I was at doctor R's house until 6am.
And after that, I activated Kim family for caring J sim for a while and I was planning to switch back to doctor R's work day.
But when I was moved into hospital lot, how come R sim moved into hospital at the same time?
I switched to doctor R again and the work time table said work starts in 2 hours. LOL
A few mins later, inactivated J sim went outside and got home.
When the clock hit 9 am, I got a message I will join or let him go to work alone at the hospital lot.
Of curse I selected 'join' then there was no loading screen for moving to work place.
My doctor R worked with the patients in assistant clothing all day which he was wearing since 6 am.

When J sim went back home, I wondered what is make connection button on front desk.
If you click the heart icon at the front desk, you will get 'make connection: doctor'.
I just clicked it, then after a while, I saw doctor J came back to hospital in everyday clothes again.
My doctor R was checking vital sign and suddenly, I can't get the interaction 'examine patient.
I noticed my J sim was holding a paper beside at other empty bed.
Then the treatment interaction got activated. It says, 'operation for burning belly'...

So Is that how 'make connection: doctor' works? This is my question here. :D

Oh, that is nothing, the clinic must have doctors while you are on the lot, it will first try to pull them from the non played sims, and than played sims same as patients nurse and intern. If there are two doctors in same household one will be active and the other one will be inactive. It takes the npc charactors a while to come home from the doctor career and the patients a a while to give the allusion that the clinic is very busy as you arrive the next day the people that where working the previous shift leaves the hospital. Also this allows the clinic to be staffed incase a pregnacy happens whether it is player controled or npc controled. I don't know about the connection thing on the desk of the clinic I never seen it before, but from time to time you can click on the desk when you are at the highest level to trait outbreaks outside the clinic, or cure a sim that is too sick to make it to the clinic. The clinic is a 24/7 medical ward and not really a hospital.

Edit: if you load a sim up and they appear at the hospital if they don't have the job duties ui on you can send them home. I always find some kids in my playable families stuck in the hospital when I load up another family. I just click on home icon and send them home, if you don't get that its a bug.

It means it is open 24hrs a day 7 days a week and when your shift is done others come to fill shifts you don't do. Your sim is only there for 1 shift in a 24hr 7 days week on days you work that is why some days during the week you have off. The clinic always has to be staffed incase a pregnant sim needs treatment at all hours. My sim had Baby at Midnight one time and the clinic weas open.

Ahh thank you. I thought it just spawns the staffs immediately when my active household arrived at the hospital for delivering a baby. The sad point is that no one get into hospital as a doctor while I'm playing 3 played doctor sims in shift. They are all living separately, so they are not in the same household. Those doctor B or C never get into the hospital as a coworker doctor while I'm working with doctor A. Doctor B just attend the work as an Assistant title over his head but his actual position is the Chief of staff. Doctor C or A never get into work as a coworker while working with Doctor B. If one of them get into the clinic for baby delivery, there's homeless doctor sim is waiting for his wife(active doctor is a man) at the clinic although I have 2 more inactive doctor sims. This is slightly disappointed.

Has anyone experienced $0 pay earning for their sim? My sim is a doctor promoted to general practioner. She is doing an excellent job but her earning at this level has been $0. I noticed that the pay for that level is missing. Has anyone experienced this? If you have, how do you fix the problem?

hello, I heard that issue from other sims community and found it's from mod issue about working for 12 hrs all careers. If you have it, change it to updated one, then should be ok.
