Does anyone else find vampire break-ins to be annoying?

I personally haven't had this happen at a community lot so I can't imagine the same thing happening to me, but it certainly is annoying when you try to wake up your sim before a vampire attacks, but that's just one of the charms of the pack since vampires are supposed to be more on the "evil" side.

I found a handy workaround using the club system: starting a club meeting with the hangout at a different location can teleport your sim there regardless of a vampire break-in.

Yeah, this is super annoying. This bug has been around for ages and I really wish they'd fix it. As it is, I end up frantically looking around and using cheats to make every vampire I can find leave individually, and it's such a drag. It's clearly a bug as it doesn't always happen whenever a vampire is on a public lot, and it's one of the most disruptive so I really think they should prioritize it.

These days,vampires don't even seem to break into any of my sims homes anymore! And more than once when it's happened, the vampire is WORKING at the public lot, as a bartender or something. It's so ridiculous!

I haven't had a vampire break into my sims' homes, but have seen an inexplicable number of them on community lots and as with FanPhoria they seem to be working in NPC positions quite a bit of the time which now has me wonder.

However, reading about this reminds me of a situation I encountered where my sim got stuck on a downtown community lot where there were vampires and I couldn't send them home no matter what I tried. It basically felt like a game-ender for that household at the time it happened and now has me wondering about ties to the bug described above. The fact that that pack has been out so long and if that bug is still in existence and hasn't been addressed yet, admittedly has me concerned--especially if I send my sims out. :/

I've got nothing against playing vampire sims or having them in my game--I just wish it was without major bugs attached! :(

Annoying is an understatement! Have had the problem you describe several times, that and home break-ins (usually by random townie vampires, the premades are courteous so knock first and don't enter unless door is opened). Those game saves have been abandoned with new ones played under the no vampires protocol: no researching them, no talking with them if encountered, no vampire comments of any sort in conversations with normal sims, no anything. Have likewise noticed them frequently on community lots and working at them.

The community lot break-ins are terribly annoying and pretty sure it's a bug that's never getting fixed anytime soon and should've never happened.

I enjoy the vampires very much. I think they're arguably the best they've ever been.

That being said... I despise the break-ins, especially when my Sims are on a lot other than their own. I fail to see how enforcing rules on the player is what makes a quality pack. Why can't I leave when a vampire strolls in, looking for some necks?

To make matters worse, they have that ridiculous, over-the-top creep animation that makes them so slow, so when they're "breaking in", it takes an absurd amount of time for some vital menu features to be unlocked again.

Don't get me wrong, I found the animation to be quite creepy when I first saw a vampire using it when they were breaking into my house. But it's way too slow.

Now, though, vampire break-ins seem to be bugged in my game. As soon as they're near my door, they just walk off. It removes a more "dangerous" aspect of the game, but at least I haven't had everything I was doing put to a halt in a long while.

Yep, hence why I'm so glad I no longer own the pack.

If you don't want breakins at your home lot? Lock the door. Vlad will stand outside looking stupid for about two Sim hours then go home. If he's not controlled by you directly he's too dumb to teleport inside.

I hate that part of the vampire pack. When I catch them, I use MCCC to make them human MUHAHAHAHA. They get so confused, wander around the house a bit, and then leave.
