Does anyone else think the maid is pointless now?

Does anyone else think that maids are pointless in the sims 4? I don't know about your experience with them but I find that they rarely show up, they don't put leftovers in the fridge, they walk in on...

Ya know, I haven't seen my manly maid in a while. I better keep an eye on him. Especially after reading this thread. I can't believe a maid stole someones clay! How rude!
