Does anyone else think the maid is pointless now?

Does anyone else think that maids are pointless in the sims 4? I don't know about your experience with them but I find that they rarely show up, they don't put leftovers in the fridge, they walk in on...

They worked for awhile but now I don't see them and they don't do very much.
