Does anyone else think the maid is pointless now?

Whats up with the Maid sitting on the couch or a chair every time they pick up a book that has been lying around before placing back on the bookshelf. Drove me nuts cause I had a lazy sim who had 5 books on the floor and the Maid sat 5 times. Meanwhile the puddles, grimy shower and smelly toilet were not being cleaned and then she was done for the day and left. Lol :p
