Ah that's worrisome. My sim doesn't have kids with her yet, would they automatic try to be hybrids without that hybrid mod? I'm kinda hoping they just go one way or the other.
I think without mods it'll be way rarer to get a hybrid, so you should be okay. If you do get a bugged one, well....the cowplants look lovely this time of year. XD

@LSM36 no they should not automatically try because hybrids don't technically exist in TS4 - also does MCCC allow you to create hybrids nowadays or is it just that you think the bugs could be caused by it @greydonn? Haven't used the mod in ages so I'm curious :D
Yes, MCCC will let you make hybrids! It might even include a warning about bugs, lol, but I don't remember fully and I'm not sure I had the setting checked to allow them then anyhow. I know it's possible to get hybrids without mods, and those tend to be the really glitched ones. Personally, I'm inclined to say the aging glitch was an MCCC issue, but the visual glitches are an all around bug.
