Yes, it looks weird. With the right style of residence, you could pretend that the arches and fountain belong to the house - for someone really wealthy, perhaps. But having any fence around the property suggests the lawn is private and anything beyond the fence is separate and thus public. It feels like a house in a community space.
If I wanted to put a residence there, I'd ditch the fence completely and use a house that looked more grand - taller, more stately. Your style of house is pretty but I don't think it fits the immediate surroundings well enough to go there.
