looks like again just mods help here as with so many things in TS4
i started using the UI_Cheats_Extension from MTS because the families i've been playing lost all their relationship to each other
that mod also enables with only one single click to remove any moodlet
it's cheating but trying to play with annoying bugs is no fun at all
