Yes, canning! There's a Maxis render that shows someone selling canned foods at a yard sale table and what looks like boxes of more canned goods under the table:

And actually, it was shown in the trailer. I think lots of Simmers just missed it. Here's a couple screenshots I grabbed from the trailer:

This one again shows cans being sold at yard sale tables. One in the front and the guy in the back.

And this one shows a Sim using what I assume is a canning machine in the back judging by the bags of produce and stuff at her feet.

I don't really know if there will be any new harvestables. I'm just guessing because it makes sense. I could be wrong though. I'll modify my post to reflect it's just a guess. I really hope we do get some new harvestables and recipes though. :)
