Emotions Are Important

I saw some people claiming they'd put Emotions dead last on the April 2020 survey. Why would anyone do this?

Keep in mind that a lot of our gameplay/DLC features rely heavily on this system. EX: ROM potions that effect emotion, careers that require an emotional state, consequential actions influencing emotional states, etc. Emotions are HEAVILY flawed; so much emphasis is given to them over traits, gameplay features rely on them, and many Sims walk around with smiles on their faces regardless of events in a vanilla game. If they improve this system, the entire foundation of the game could improve. (:

Think of it this way: many of the proposed features will involve emotional states. Would you like your Sim to be arrested from a heist and get a Sad +5 moodlet for three days? Even relationships effect emotional states. I don't want to see improved relationships if my Sims still react the same.

What do you guys think? Should emotions be prioritized?
