my advice? whatever you do, don't hire a caterer. you can't move the food platters away from wherever the caterer sets them down, which is a dealbreaker for me personally. if that doesn't bother you, of course, hire caterers, but it's so much easier in my opinion to have your sim cook some food before the wedding, put it in their inventory and then put it out for people to eat.
