- Luckylunayre6 years agoSeasoned AceIt hasn't ever really happened in the history of the sims. Small things will be added on to make crossplay between packs feel more alive. Like Sims 3 Seasons and Sims 3 Supernatural added a weather totem that supernaturals could use to change the weather.
There are other examples in sims 2, 3 and 4 but for the most part that just doesn't happen the way you're thinking.
Think about it form this point. If it's a big update, only people who have that expansion could benefit. That defeats the purpose of a free update. You'd have to charge for it, which would annoy a lot of customers. - floridameerkat6 years agoSeasoned AceWhat do you mean they don't update the expansion packs? Every time there's an update the patch notes list which pack features are getting fixed. Most (if not all) of the expansion packs are included in these notes. In fact, I believe the next update we get will include an update specifically for Island Living, as it should be adding island counters to the pack.
- Simburian6 years agoSeasoned AceWe do get Patches and then Patches, then Patches in a never-ending stream which might sort out the bugs from past Packs years ago.......... Nobody really wants a repeat of My First Pet Stuff which added to Cats and Dogs. It did have some nice stuff in it but should have been included with the EP.
- AineOfMay6 years agoSeasoned AceAt this point, if they keep releasing incomplete packs, they might have to start doing that. :D They're such an embarrassment right now.
- icemanfresh6 years agoLegendThey've never really made a huge update to any of the packs. Maybe small improvements, like allowing sims to chat while bowling, or letting sims have dates on karaoke venues, but nothing major.
- Simfriend686 years agoSeasoned AceI would like it if they would keep adding pack-related activities to the clubs from GT, (more than they have already, I mean). It would also be nice to have more activities for the holidays from Seasons. They seem to add just one or two at a time. And more unique weather like the monsoon would be nice in future packs, too. Unlike with IL also, any new recipes or cultural foods should automatically be added to the restaurant menu from Dine Out.

Speaking of clubs, we need more logos. At least let us make our own, or use trait pictures for it. I made a mermaid club and the only icon I could use was the fish. - EgonVM6 years agoSeasoned AceSpa Day got a new door in the recent patch to be used to make gender-neutral bathrooms. Jungle Adventures got a counter island (because it was missing) and 3 new plants (because these originally came together as 1 object) in a patch. Get to Work got an alien diaper for toddlers in the toddlers patch.
Plus club system from Get Together gets updated with new activities with each add-on (not all), Dine Out gets new foods and drinks to be used in restaurants, and so on.
They do add new things to existing packs when it's necessary. Plus existing add-ons get bug fixes. - I wish they would update or improve the retail system, I loved sims 2 OFB so much but I don’t enjoy owning a business in sims 4 as much.
- The only ''update'' we have from an expansion is the wonder that is My First Pet Stuff... ugh what a pack... I would honestly prefer the team listen to the community more so we can get the reasonable requests in expansion packs.
