You have to cook it in a chef station even if you learn the recipe?

@Ifreshyeh I think so. All the times I've cooked them have been on the chef's station.

*I double checked and no you can't cook it on a regular stove. You need the station.

Thank you Rosemow for posting that link . I have a kitchen with that stove in it , yes it can be done and still look decent , and I had wondered about those foods. Now I will put that stove in more kitchens.

I don't know if this will work but maybe you can put the chef station in a basement or a room that you're not going to use, if that doesn't bother you. Your sim will be able to make the dish with a normal stove. Or at least I've seen my sim do that autonomously when I tell him to solve his hunger need. You will only need the chef station just to get the option which is silly but yeah. Lemme just check in game and see if this works.
