Family portraits?

How do you get that family portrait. What update?

The family portrait was part of an update in 2018 which promoted the Sims Mobile. You had to download that game on your phone and then you could go to a website on the Sims 4 and enter your mobile number. Now this never worked for me even though I did download the Sims Mobile on my phone because I am not from the US. The site refused to recognize my mobile number, which was very frustrating.

However, over at Sims 4 Studio, the portrait was extracted and turned into a package file by Glassplumbob (it’s still there in the Creator Studios section). About a week later, a creator named Pegasys posted a version with a simpler frame in the Custom Content Links. So people with PCs can still get it if they want it.

The portrait itself is too big and has a gaudy gold frame. It can be sized down, though. I hope that EA adds it to the game in a regular patch so that everyone can have it, and that they include more options for frames.
