Not really, if you think about it,
Look at layering socks and leggings, tattoos under clothes, the layering software is there, it’s just a matter of shifting code and applying it to everything.
If EA and the sims team think it’s worth doing, they’ll do it, and if enough people bring them to this, we might get it.
I can guarantee you it's not that simple, and it's not worth the amount of resources it would require this late in the game. Hope for it in TS5.
As said to one of the above simmers, I by no means assume anything involved in the creation or editing of this feature is easy, and yes, I agree its not really worth the amount of time, energy and resources to just add layering, but, that is why I cared to mention a sims 4 twist which would hopefully make the feature worth having, in short terms, have it part of a bigger fashion related update which would take a good deal of time and such, but the team wouldn't be scratching their heads or pulling out their hair trying to understand why they were going to so much effort for a single thought which could easily come back and kick them in their plums.
As small as this idea sims, its a great deal larger than described, it would be involved in a fair amount more, however I lack the ability to completely explain the entire lay out, also its important to hear from other simmers as to what they think and desire for the game.
again, by no means do i think this is simple or easy, even as someone utterly clueless to this sort of stuff, I don't pretend to know the ins and outs and call out anyone who argues on that account, no. the sims is a large game, its been given an entirely new engine which in itself leaves past knowledge and software useless to the team, its a blank slate and like many things, blank slates are as troublesome as they are important to the expansion of something, plus you have staff and EA having to basically re-learn everything from the ground up, from software to just designing items on paper.
What I've been trying to say is that they have the software, they have knowledge of path ways toward creating this feature a smidge faster than if they had come at this without a single thought towards it, that doesn't mean easy, it just means they have a slightly better image of it than if they'd come at this game and its abilities completely new and without having watched and helped the game come to life.
Sorry for the poor reply, its late and my brain tends to trail.
