Want the best Art History program? Go to Britechester. Want the best Computer Science program? Go to Foxbury. Maybe there's an extra benefit from taking a distinguished degree from a specialized institution.
That's what I thought. You might get more credits and bonuses for taking a distinguished major than a regular major, like a boost in career, and skills, but you'll be required to stay in school longer since it's more rigorous and demanding than a normal major
