Freshly made food still shows how long till it spoils, even after you put it in the fridge, but not the stuff that was already in there. I saved my game after adding a couple of dishes (pre-made brownies and vegetable dumplings) and next time I'm in game I'll see if those items are no longer showing spoiled time.
