For Rent: What Are Your Plans?

I have family in California who live in motel style apartments(does this style have a specific term?) and I always wanted some like that in game, especially in Del Sol Valley. I think I'll prepare the shells like those in time for the pack.

@BlueSeaWaves great idea. I remember when Get Famous released I so wanted to have a low rent kinda seedy apartment building for sims just starting their journey to stardom.

I'm going to build an apartment/multihouse lot in Henford on Bagley for my vampire sim's many, many children to live with her. She's going to have 12, so probably just the favorites. I've been slowly working on a three house lot for a week or two before the leak, and I'm hoping to turn two of the buildings into rental houses and have the main family live in the big one. I'm kinda afraid I'll have to rebuild it lol

And her final child, who's going to be a total voidcritter obsessed fan, is going to be cringe. XD

Oh boy, do I have plans.... :D

- Strangerville is getting a tacky 70's inspired "no-tell" motel that will function like an apartment (with a pool and community area). I've seen a few builds like that in youtube videos and have been itching to build a proper functioning one for a long time. And a small trailer park built on one of the lots in the downtown area (not sure which one yet).

- Del Sol Valley will be getting some much needed apartments and/or row houses in the cheap area. Maybe luxury apartments downtown?

- Oasis Springs is getting a trailer park on Johnny Zest's lot (and I can't decide if I want a cranky old lady running it (read: me), or if I want the Landgraabs owning it). Imagine Johnny Zest having to pay rent and put up with the Landgraabs as his landlord... (major plot twist!) :o

- San Myshuno will be getting some NYC-style brownstones w/ basement suites, and maybe another apartment complex where the salt house is?

- Forgotten Hollow will be getting victorian/gothic style row houses. Vlad will be renting out his... uh.... lovely basement prison tiny suites.

- Moonwood Mill is getting a cheap rundown tenement apartment block.

- Glimmerbrook is in need of some type of dark academy 'school' complex where newbies can start out and learn their craft.

- Sulani is getting a luxury beachfront resort with individual cabana-style micro homes all connected by docks over the water.


Bah, who am I kidding.... I'm going to be building all kinds of multi-family dwellings in each of the worlds. I want to own and operate a cheapo trailer park at some point, but I'll be too busy building my little heart out for a while before I finally get the chance to enjoy the new gameplay features. Number one priority for me is building a bunch of stuff I've been itching to do for years.... I have them all pictured perfectly in my mind.

Lots of variety for our simmies to live, work, and play. Multi-dwellings.... It's finally here! :smiley:

I have lots of townhouse style builds already
so I'll probably just start with trying to make those functional
whenever I get this pack

I also have couple sims in mind that I might move to Tomarang
and quite many I wish to move to townhouses all over sim earth

I have also been considering playing Landgraabs as Landlords

or more specifically Malcolm like The Sims PS2 version because I really need to do away with Nancy and Geoffrey unless they're trying to be eternal vampires in my game :sweat_smile:

aaand maybe add some urbz hoodz about

waiting to see whole town map of tomarang before i make grand plans for the world itself tbh but yeah probably some old thai houses will be the first additions

I already pseudo-apartment blocks in nearly every world. At the moment I've just got assorted singles and couples living in them to make it seems like they are apartments. I'm gonna turn them all into actual apartments. I'm really curious how many individual sims will be able to live on such a lot in the new pack.

Same :) When I knew we can build apartments, my first thought was Del Sol Valley :)

Some will go on the gallery and some won't (depending on which ones I use cc for), but I will definitely be putting plenty of cc-free builds on the gallery for folks to grab, slowly over time. "Sharing is caring" and all that. :D
