Fresh Chef and Buffet Table

I think it's because they buy food, not make them.
If you have your sim cook the food and put it on the buffet table manually, then these won't spoil. There can be up to 7 foods on the buffet table if you don't put that fountain on the top. If you put the cake on the top part in the middle, it can be used as a birthday cake or wedding cake.
