Game Bestows Genius Trait?

I've tried to understand the self-discovery system from Growing Together through tuning files (which I've made a thread of). Feel free to take a look at it to learn more about the system.

Though I'll ask what is your sim's age? From my knowledge, only young adults, adults, and elders should get self-discovery moments. And how was he labeled? Did the trait just appear or did you get a pop-up asking you if you want that trait to be equipped?

Got a pop-up in my game that I could accept or not. Some I accepted, others I declined.

ETA: The Sim in question is still a Child.

Now that is odd... It might also be that I might have misunderstood the tuning files, but even looking into Internet I see it only happening to grown-up sims...

Any mods by chance that might affect that?

None that would affect that. I do have MCCC, but I don't set much. It's highly underused in my game, unless, Deaderpool has created another preset to do what happened in my game. It should be stated that Genius is in the family already, and he may have inherited this Trait.

I also do think the issue Must be mod related. I've seen Simmers having self-discovery notifications for their dogs.

I haven't seen it happen to children in my vanilla save.

yeah its Growing Together thing
idk about ages but i haven't noticed other than adult sims getting self discoveries yet

I just keep getting cheerful suggestion over and over because its tied to sims needs being full :sweat_smile:

they must really be looking at the bright side while I'm destroying their lives all because i took them to toilet first such a kind sim god i am

or I guess it could be silent rebellion brewing hmm better go hunt those party poopers

I'm uncertain it was a Self-discovery thing. I seem to recall it being a Trait he acquired.

I don’t use mods, I get them for pets, children and up. It’s meant to be like that.

Animals change change personality due to worldly experience so it makes total sense. It’s not a bug.
