Get to work deserves to be updated
A while ago we wer able to take a survey asking us what we would like to see in the sims 4. One of the questions was: 'wich 3 released expansions or gamepacks would you like to have some additional polish" In my opinion the pack that needs this the most is Get to work. This was the first expansion for the sims 4 and it had some great ideas however the execution left a little to be desired. What i would like to see changed/added to make this expansion truly worth your money is the following. I will tackle all different part of the expansion wich are the 3 active careers, Aliens and retail
Doctor active career
For this career i would love to see the sickness system updated allowing sick sims to visit the hospital to get treated by a docter, for sims to be able to die due to sickness if it remains untreated for a while, and for certain sims to get sick more easily such as elders.
Law enforcement career
For this i would love if there was a crime system in wich for example your sim got in a fight they might get arrested and thrown in jail for a night. Robbers would be added back in and cops would come to your home to arrest them and if you visit the police station you can actually see sims that got arrested in the cells to add to the immersion. If you have cats and dogs you can go to thepolice station to file a missing pet report (this is optional ofcourse)
Sims in the criminal career might have the chance to get arrested for their crimes aswell
once one of your sims is thrown in jail you can play either them or the other remaining sims in the household. You can also switch between them at any time
Jail time isn't extremely long i would think
1 night for a fight
2 days maybe for stealing things or being arrested due to being in the criminal career.
There would aslo be an option to turn the crime and sickness system off in the settings for the people who don't like to play with this. the same goes for robbers. This way everyone gets what they want
these two systems would also add for more consequences into the game wich it imo desperately needs.
Aliens
The big thing aliens need in my opinion would be a skill tree like vampires got. This would flesh them out and make aliens different from each other.
Retail
Retail Deserves a big overhaul in my opinion. adding things in like sims checking out at the register instead of just swiping it, sims actually holding shopping baskets. and if sims you don't play buy things they will actually keep these items in their inventor. These 3 things would just really add to the immersion of the retail gameplay. Other than that i would love to be able to run a store from my home lot. This would open up so many possibilities for my sims and would require less lots to be filled. There are also some tiny tweaks like being able to hire family members to work at your store. Npc's actually browsing through the items before wanting to buy something. By this i mean i want the sim to actually be at the store. Sometimes a sim hasn't even entered the lot like there at the other side of the street and there already ready to be rung up this makes absolutely no sense. Some bugfixes like sims not forming one big cluster but actually spreading around the store. (They should really take some notes from Ts2 Open for bussines). The abbility to sell pets so yoour sims can own a pet store selling cats,dogs and small animals. The ticket machine from ts2 so you can basically own any kind of venue and make profit off off it. And laslty more objects that you can sell basically anything in bb should be able to be sold (Also a way to sell the drinks from the vending machine without selling the entire vending machine like in open for business)
If they would add these things to Get to Work this could actually be the best expansion for the sims 4 and maybe even better then Open for bussiness
