Getting rid of a Trash Plant on the Sidewalk

If you are open to mods, with MCCC you can set the plant state to withered and then dispose of it. Not sure how to do this without the mod though.

Do you use mods? Simplest way would be to use Bienchen's destroyobjectcheat mod found at https://deichschafblog.de/bienchen/sonstige-mods-misc-mods/ (Just search for destroyobjectcheat)

If the plant is of very low quality, try taking a cutting. That should decrease its quality, the plant now counts as withered and can be disposed of. That's the only non-mod solution I can think of.

with that cheat, with regard to leaf piles, do you just click on them or do you have to shift click?

If you have RoM, Inferniate?

My sim had a high gardening skill so taking multiple cuts from the plant made it trash and I was able to get rid of it without the use of mods.

Now if you do use mods there is a mod what puts the destroy objection option when you shift click on it (not sure why they got rid of it in the first place.)

Thank you all. I do have MCCC and a spellcaster. He doesn’t know Inferniate yet, but maybe he could learn. Should whithering not work first.

i think with cheats shift click you can set the plant stage thingy to withered and then "get rid of dead plant" or whatever the option was

I'm not sure if the plant was on lot when i did that last time though

but this way also needs no mods

Was going to ask you if you are a spellcaster. The infernum is the first one i learned lol, and that is pretty useful of getting rid of trash. There is also another spell that makes things of your property. You could also try that.
