Going Back or Staying in

I currently bounce between TS2, 3 and 4. I am sticking with the franchise, but TS4 isn't my favorite game. It has many things going for it in terms of building and being able to create gorgeous Sims, the overall look of the worlds is quite nice, but there just aren't very many buildable lots in those pretty worlds. It has it's pros and cons. It's a nice diversion for a few hours here and there, but it hasn't yet kept me totally immersed for hours on end as TS2 and 3 are still able to do. And that immersion was there from the time TS2 and 3 were released, before EPs and stuff packs came along. TS4 is simply a different take on an old favorite. It might meet my expectations sometime in the future, but it has fallen a bit short in that department to date. I don't know if I will ever be emotionally attached to TS4 as I am to it's predecessors. Time will tell, I guess.
