Problem is, you can't really do that. Non-autonomous sims will still choose their own conversation topics, so expect your goofball to do a lot of handbuzzer and air horn shenanigans even without free will. With a single sim one can probably watch the interaction queue like a hawk and delete the ooc actions, but in large households doing so quickly becomes a chore.

I'd be perfectly fine with the changes if they only affected autonomous behaviour, then I could have my game and the autonomy players could have theirs. But the lines blur with conversations.

Yes, sims are more unique, like goofball who does more michief than others. @texxx78

So far, Erik is still focused on his music career. He's a teen who just achieved B-Lister. Once in awhile he's goofy, but mostly with his siblings, of which he has four.

I have a lot of Goofball sims and I am seeing non-stop mischief interactions. In my mind, a goofball is somebody who likes to joke around with a little bit of mischief thrown in, not the other way around. I have already squashed the toilet pranking with MCCC tuning but I wish my Goofballs would use some friendly or funny socials in there every now and again. As I said in another thread, I don't mind that the trait (and others) has had some changes. I just feel that Goofball is one of the more extreme ones compared to other traits that were adjusted. My clumsy goofball trips over his feet sometimes but not all the time, but 99.9% of the time he's using mischief interactions.

The last three nights I've played in my Vanilla save (the save I play while waiting for mods to update, and only when I have no mods installed), where both parents have the goofball trait.

Yes, there were a lot of pranked toilets and mischief socials, though not so much the buzzers or the airhorns.

But those same sims would go play dolls with their kids, same as always. They would get stuck with the cooking bug (fortunately mom has finished the Chef aspiration). The dad would go and talk to the plants in the garden. They'd chat or play video games as often as they'd troll teh forums. They'd watch TV - and not just comedy. Mom watched a lot of cooking shows. And most of that was autonomous because I was focusing on the Crafty Teenager.

So my experience hasn't had the goofball trait taking over my gameplay. The broken toilets are annoying, and I was seriously considering having the Teenager take a trip to Glimmerbrook just to become a spellcaster and learn Scruberoo and Repario at one point, but overall I found the weight of the autonomous actions to be about right.

None of the sims in my current save have level 10 mischief yet, so I'm not seeing air horns either. Lots of noxious clouds, describing apocalypse, lie about career, that kind of stuff.

Up until I reached the point where I used MCCC Tuner to stop the toilet pranking, I decided to let my sims pee themselves as punishment. I have 3 toilets in the house and as soon as I repaired them, someone would come along and prank it again so I stopped fixing them after a while. :D

I put the Personality Please mod back in my game last night and the autonomous toilet pranking was a lot with the mod installed. I used MCCC to disable the autonomy of that interaction because I like that the mod makes my sims more lively and if I'm honest I've never really been a fan of things like pranks being autonomous interactions anyway.

Tonight I was playing with my Sim Elya who is a Goofball. I haven’t played her in a while. I decided to see what would happen if I started playing with full autonomy on. The third action she did after loading into the lot was prank the toilet. I thought, oh ok so I guess we’re really doing this. She pranked it again a few days later. She lives alone so she’s just pranking herself. She has the Renaissance aspiration so I’m just like well I guess it’ll get her handiness up some more since she will fix it every time she does that.

She also went out a lot (the flea market, karaoke night, night on the town to the karaoke bar, ancient ruins, club gathering at a cafe, and the gym across the span of maybe two weeks.) and interacted with a lot of Sims, but I never noticed her using any Mischief interactions.

I haven’t seen this yet, thankfully. I’ve always thought of my goofballs as people who just tell a lot of jokes and act silly, and with rare exceptions never do mischief.

Hmm... I think they should make a jokester or prankster trait to be the one who does all the mischievous actions. Or just rename the current one. When I think of goofball I think of someone who is a little silly and is always trying to make people smile by telling jokes or making funny faces, not someone who constantly pranks people.
