I've experienced the dark times where there were no pools, no ghosts and no toddlers.
We got the pools and the ghosts about a month into the game, and they were free; I fully expected a Pool Party pack where we'd have to pay for them. Toddlers took a while longer but they were worth the wait; best toddlers in the entire Sims series IMO.- MidniteHeartsNew SpectatorI bought the game in August of 2017 and I'm glad I didn't discover the game until then, because from what I heard, the base game was lacking in a lot. By the time I got the game, toddlers and pools were already added, not to mention a lot of great packs had been released. Also cats a dogs was set to come out in November of that year as well. Can't wait to see what more they have in store for us.
- GalacticGalSeasoned AceI'm having a hard time believing it's been five years already. The game has had its ups and downs, but I'm having a blast. Most especially since they added toddlers (and they are fantastic I must say) and bring so much to family play. I also love the Parenthood game pack, which adds another new dimension to family gameplay. Others may disagree, but I can only speak for myself. I do use a couple of mods to augment the game; MCCC and the early Road to Fame, which only made things better when RTF was updated to augment Get Famous. I now have my singer Sim back from Sims3 and am quite delighted. Poor Sim still has his unlucky moments, though. LOL But, that's half of the fun.
Happy Birthday (Anniversary), Sims 4 and a shout out to the Team who made it happen! - SimsBarbieNew SpectatorHAPPY 5TH! <3
Remember when they gave us the ability to create sims shortly before the launch of sims4? I created me and hubby simself, and Barbie and Christy to be my hang out buddies. At launch I thought it was so exciting they could go to the club and have those fun little drinks. lol Anyway, I enjoy this game in many ways. I also thank those simmers that fought to get certain things in the game. LOVE YOU! <3 - Lonewolf1044Seasoned SpectatorSims 4 has not filled in the fun on the same level or even more when Sims 3 ended, it was less fun and I never had major issues with it unless it had something to do with EA/Maxis not tweaking or addressing the bugs that did exist and the issue with IP which somehow made it through EA/Maxis quality testing. So most of the blame falls on EA/Maxis for most of the woes with Sims 3 and SIms 4 has it's own problems with multiple bugs. So this birthday is not really an happy one for me. :(
- XxAirixXSeasoned NewcomerI started playing after launch; well I had to wait a few days as the disc came in late; but I been basically playing it since the release. Now I am looking forward to Realm of Magic and what future packs that they have in store for Sims 4.
- Preordered the game but took long breaks. So, kinda 5 years?
- keekee53Seasoned NewcomerGot it on release and was like ummm where are the pools, toddlers and the other missing stuff...LOL
Five years later feels like we are still missing a lot LMAO like real vacations\honeymoons, hotels, cars, etc I am grateful for the stair update so thanks for that. - PertheliaSeasoned NoviceBought it on release and found myself disappointed. I can't remember which EP made me give it a second look, but I know I ended up buying a ton of DLC at one time and have played pretty regularly since then. I still feel like there was a lot more depth and content in Sims 3 but I also didn't enjoy the massive beast S3 became by the time I gave up playing it.
- simsimsereRising Scout4,5 but it rounds up ;) I jumped in from playing TS2 when I found out my laptop could handle TS4.
