Happy Release Day!

since i preordered the pack

I WANT to get it today, but I want the major bugs to be fixed first.

This recent patch is a mess but I need a sliver of happiness right now. I've had a cloud of bad luck over my head the majority of this year. I'll take any ounce of joy. ?

Haven't updated my game to the new patch yet, so somewhere between 'waiting for fixes' and 'get it on sale'. Wasn't crazy about the whole high school aspect, but there were things I did like.

Did just pay the balance for my Jawa costume (utinni!) so that's my big spending purchase for the day.

First time I haven't bought an expansion pack on release day, but not really feelin it.

I've preordered, so I've updated. I'll be playing the game in a completely vanilla save until everyone of my mods are checked off as good to go. also been noticing a few of us simmers are playing with the new pack earlier than the release time which is 11am over here(7:32am currently at the time of this post).

I literally pre-ordered it yesterday, so I'd get it as soon as it released, and a few hours later was confronted with the new aging bug. :| I'll likely create a new save to explore the game while I wait for the bug to be fixed before I go back into the game I was playing in preparation for the pack (my sim family has a child, I was hoping to get her mostly completed on the child aspirations last night so that I could age her up with the EP and start her into HS, but that'll have to wait, I guess).

I'm not waiting for fixes per se, I already have it pre ordered but I'm waiting for some mod fixes. Also busy so can't really play anyway until Sunday or next week. I'm super excited to start playing though???

I mean this genuinely and sincerely when I say this: To all of you who are apparently buying it today, good luck. I see some of you already updated the disastrous patch from yesterday, and feel like it couldn't get any worse. But there's a reason why I personally stopped day one patching and waiting to see how new packs integrated into the game.

Since this was a pack I was excited about, I originally only planned on waiting about a week or so to see how buggy it would be and what it would break. But after yesterdays patch that I refuse to download, I guess I'll be waiting for a sale. If any of the patch problems are on par with what we might see with HSY, we might get a sale earlier than usually expected.

Honestly I could spend many many happy hours playing in build and buy and CAS modes before I even get started on the gameplay!LOL

I'd wait for fixes but... it's EA. The bugs will effect high school years the very same way it's effecting the rest of my game. I have the travel bug and occasional flickering of who's a global superstar. So might as well. I have 16 teens that I haven't aged up for one irl month, it's time
