Has anyone successfully done a house call for the Doctor Career?

Is this a bug or did I do something wrong? I got a prompt to go on a house call and it said to click on the front desk to take the assignment. I saw a red heart icon on the front desk and so I clicked the desk. It said the call would transport my sim to another lot and I clicked the "OK" dialog box. Then, I waited, and waited, and waited, while my sim just stood there in the hospital hallway. Nothing happened. Eventually, my sim walked over to a co-worker to chat. Eventually, I got a dialog box saying my patient waited and no one showed up, so they went to another hospital. WTH!?

Edit: Got a 2nd house call, same thing, nothing happened after I clicked the "OK" dialog box to go on the house call. My question now is, has anyone successfully gone on a house call?

2nd Edit: Got another house call, safe shift. I can see the action to go on the house call immediately drops out of the queue after clicking "OK". I guess Its gotta be a bug. Again, has anyone been successful in going on a house call? Is it possible the mine fails, because there are no other sims occupying any lots in either of my neighborhoods since the update?

I can't even find the heart to click on. The front desk does nothing if I click on it. I tried clicking on it, the receptionist, and everything around it, but it won't prompt me about it. I just get a message that they decided to go to another hospital about two hours later. :/

My sim DID go on a house call, but was unable to get back to the hospital to finish work....

Ok. I just found out you have to click your sim to return to hospital :smiley:

Yep! I did a house call! It was pretty interesting. I didn't run into any issues what so ever.... my sim went to the house call examined and medicated the three sick patients and returned to work just fine.

I will admit that I was a little twitchy about accepting the request. I've had my game literally just ... not move past load screen a couple of times (just base game - before GTW) and I hadn't saved in awhile. Doh! Thankfully nothing untoward happened and I saved the moment that she got home at the end of the day ;)

I just wanted to drop back in and let you know that I finally did get a house call that showed an icon and allowed me to travel there.
I got there just fine and completed the "Examine and Give Medicine" work goals before I clicked on sim and returned to hospital as klaassenm said.

Do you have any script mods? Something that could be interfering with the action / loading of the lot?

When clicking on the front desk make sure to click where the phone is (that's where I click and it works every time).

Yes, I have successfully completed several house calls. You just have to make sure to click the sim and click return to hospital. :)

I've done it successfully as well, just have to have a game plan. The pause button has become my good friend. I'll pause the game, locate the patients and queue up the tasks then un-pause.

Also I realized that house calls are for sims that does not actually live in that house.. very weird.

My Sim has had several successful house calls. I haven't had any trouble with it at all. I'm surprised to read this, b/c everything seems to have been working perfectly....except for the "deliver baby" no one has come to the hospital to have a baby.
