Im wondering: will the community space lot type be a good option to create a hotel?
I have tried using the generic lot type but other sims wouldn't show up... but what if i use the community space lot type? It does attract a lot of sims. I could put the community space's requirements that don't fit the hotel in a locked basement...
Has anyone tried it?
I think it depends on what you want from your hotel. If you just want it to be populated, then yes, it attracts quite a lot of sims. They tend to garden by themselves, use the fabricator and candle making station, they also like to congregate around eating areas. They don't use the beds autonomously, so you probably won't have to shoo sims out of your room if you don't add a TV or something else that attracts them. You could probably use it to make a farm type hotel, where guests could farm and what not. - texxx785 years agoSeasoned Ace

I think that's great since we cannot lock the doors on other lots. It makes no difference if other beds are occupied or not during the night. - texxx785 years agoSeasoned Ace

Yes, i agree. It would make me crazy if it worked like that as i was playing :) i guess i'll have to keep waiting for a hotel pack :) - PsychoSimXX5 years agoNew SpectatorYou can build a hotel on just about any type of community lot. The different lot type allow for different types of hotels. Want a seedy pay by the hour type of place or romantic getaway? Use any of the different bar type lots or any of lot types in which minor Sims won't show up. You can use the lot requirements to work with your hotel. If you put items in the rooms that sims tend to gravitate too (computer) it will appear as if the rooms are occupied. I tend to use restaurants and nightclubs for mine. I haven't tested it but community space might be good to use for a make-shift theme park with a hotel.
