Has Neighborhood Stories Gone Wild In Your Game?

The random deaths didn't work in my game until the latest update. I had no deaths, only the usual elders who died because of old age. Now the deaths have started to happen and I've noticed that there are a lot of households with only children left because both of their parents have died. It's quite disturbing and sad. :/
I like the idea of random deaths happening every now and then, but this is too much and I think I'm going to have to disable it.
