Has your Sim ever been invited to another Sim's party - birthday, whatever?

We have a serious situation developing on potentially unfair treatment of some players's Sims. None of my Sims have ever been invited to parties - I've played quite a few Sims - played families - v...

Is there a way to increase chances? I never get an invite except once in a rare while a birthday to which I reject because Sims age up and I do not want them to all get old. Sometimes there's a thing going on at a club in GT but that's it.
