Hates Children and Family Oriented Couple

My founder to my legacy is named Iola (iola) she doin fell in love without Cameron and now they are on their honeymoon in granite falls. Iola is family orientaed and Cameron hates children, I really can’t wait for them to have kids but Cameron might leave them seeing as anytime she’s so much as being able to see a kid she gets angry. Soon she will have a baby with Iola (Iola will carry it) and I’m quite anxious to see the result.

I will update you guys on this but I would love to hear your thoughts

  • The hates children trait really doesnt work like it should. The sims never really turn out to hate kids. They just get tense from put in a situation that surrounds them.

I only know cause I wanted a sim who really hated kids and would mistreat them but nope lol
  • The only thing I've noticed with the hates children trait is that they get tense around kids and especially any kid decor and toys. I have a teen (CAS created) with that trait and it took me a while to discover why on earth she always get tense inside her own room. I put two toy dolls from Selvadorada she had bought there on a vacation :naughty: I had no idea :innocent:

In my main save-game I have The Fengs in my roational play and the Feng woman has that trait. They now have a little toddler and I see no real trouble. I do have the father do the most of the 'rearing' but she has no qualms taking care of her little darling. I even had the father ask her if she wanted children and she was soo down with it. She also has the unflirty trait so that did surprise me how fast she agreed not only to having kids but also the act of having them. The only issue, or non issue with mrs. Feng is that she gets the tense mood whenever she is in her son's bed-/playroom.
  • Same here, never had any issues with parents with the hates children trait being anything but good to their own children, but when it comes to other kids that is a different story.

I feel like it may be more extreme for some and mild for others, rn they are on their honeymoon, I'll see what happens
  • A few days ago I played a Sim with that trait for the first time ( Lily Feng). She just arrived at the art gallery, suddenly a bunch of kids appeared, and she got a biiiig angry moodlet that prohibited her from doing a lot of social interactions. Since others are mentioning a tense moodlet, and maybe it not being too intense, i guess the number of kids makes an impact. Which is great. I can definitely imagine Lily Feng being sent into a rage when around a gaggle of kids.
  • I have a sim who hates children, but the trait only showed up when there were actually children around, not toddlers or teens. He had a hard time with six younger sisters and was often tense. Right now he is yound adult and has a kid himself and as long as there arent any other kids around, he is okay. Even if there are toys around in the bedroom of him and his wife.

So Cameron the spouse was extremely upset at first ad didn't talk to her wife for a day on end, that day was winterfest-eve, then they ended up making out on the couch on winterfest after presents and she actually didn't object to feeling the baby, hopefully good signs from winterfest because Iola's life's dream if to be a mother, the daughter will be named Kallik after the Polar bear in the book Seekers by Erin Hunter, much like her mom is much like a black bear and has Luca, the black bear in the story's traits
