Hello, my sim has to do research flirty emotion for his gig

I completed a gig without having my sim research an angry emotion once before so I don’t see it as all that important if you’re worried! I had the same problem with angry emotions, I didn’t want my sim to have enemies so I just didn’t do it. I didn’t know how at first but it doesn’t even take that long to complete it for a job. But I don’t think it hinders you.

Not completing emotional research for gigs just means you have less of a success chance when you take risky moves in a gig is all. If you wish to not take that chance by not researching flirty emotions, simply choose the safe option when the particular romantic scenes are up.

Thanks for all opinions. Eventually, I had to use drain life spirit after using flirty interaction with his stan. But I still wonder there is a way to become a five star single actor without romance. The reason I don't wan to start romance is because my sims want to go for steady, then, propose, then marriage, then baby..etc...Starting romance is the first step of becoming a family. At the moment, I don't want to make love relationship with anybody in game but I want to keep this actor career.

Have you tried doing stuff like practicing pickup lines on the mirror? I know that not all the research actions have to be interactions with other sims.

Use object-based interactions, if you don't want to affect relationships.
Like, for Flirty, any Interaction that has a pink section on the left of the interaction button counts for that daily task.

So an easy way to get this done would be to queue up "Practice Pickup Lines" in the mirror and cancel it out as your Sim starts to do it.
Just do that 4 times and you should be at 100% for that daily task.

This also works for other emotions.
To do Angry without hurting your relationships, do angry object interactions, like Kick Trash Can, Stomp Trash, or Stomp Puddle.
Playful is also easy, just make funny faces in the mirror over and over, though it's not like playful interactions are that bad to use on others, what with many of them giving positive relationship boosts.

Just make sure you're looking for interactions with the colored section on their icons, like this:

Hip Bump for the Punching Bag has a pink tag on the left side, showing that it's a "Flirty" action, so this would count for the Research Flirty emotion as well.

Practicing pick up lines on the mirror does not count. I just tried.

Sorry but I tried hip bum on punching bag but it doesn't seem to be counted. :(

The hard part is to get your Sims in that emotion, I've found. Even when my Sims got flirty or angry, it kept getting overridden by other things like Confident. So frustrating.
