Home chef hustle rating

So far I really like the pack. It has a few positives but also a few negatives in my opinion

Positive:
- finally being able to make waffles and pizzas at home
- the flexibility of the stall: it was designed for waffles and pizzas but it works with all kinds of food and drinks. Items from previous packs were updated for this purpose which is awesome
- 2 new aspirations. For the first time since the launch of the game we finally got a new money related aspiration!
- I really like the build buy
My favorites are


negative:
- home made pizzas are in a cardbord box. I understand the box when sims order a pizza or sell pizza in the stall but I would have liked a version on a plate. When I make pizzas at home, I never put them in a card board box.
- the clothing is not very versatile. It suits the pack but I won't get much use out of it for general gameplay. It is also a shame that toddlers didn't get the same onesie as the infants. Now the entire family can dress up in matching outfits except for toddlers.
- the cooking update didn't go far enough. I would have loved a search bar in the cooking menu and more filter options like pasta, asian food, ...
- the pizza oven catches fire very often, even with cooking skill maxed. This feels like bad tuning.

The positives outweigh the negatives in my opinion. I will play with the food stall for now but in the long run the pizzas and build buy will make this pack worth it for my game.

Cooking is one of my favorite activities in game so I was on board the minute it was announced. ( Yes I know. I'm on board for all packs. ?)

CAS is never a big issue for me. With only one family I'll never get around to trying out everything. Every time I go into CAS I find something I've forgotten about. Or never even noticed.

I too would have preferred the pizza on a platter when preparing at home.

I haven't had a chance to try out the food stall but from all the pics I know it's going to be fun.

Same negative than with all so far.. not liking the pizzabox.

Really solid pack. Sims spend a lot of time in kitchens so It's just nice to have a variety of things to do with them. I keep the pizza oven outdoors because it doesn't seem to catch fire when used outdoors. I don't like the prepped ingredients being in the "Get Leftovers" pool but this doesn't happen often. I had her 'get leftovers' and she grabbed a serving of dough.

I haven’t played with it too much yet, I did change an apartment kitchen, I love the new walls and floor colors, and the new appliances. Also, the Jungle Adventure walls seem to go well with the pack too.

I do wish they would give the microwave, ice cream machine and the popcorn machine some more swatch colors to match this new stuff pack. Besides walls and floors I like getting new counters and appliances too. Also they should give one of the coffee makers and the tea maker sims new colors as well.

I have used the pizza maker a couple of times, and it works well.

I haven’t used the other two appliances yet, or the new food stall.

I just got it over the weekend and haven't had much time to go too in-depth with it but so far it's pretty good. I'm not crazy about the CAS for everyday use but I think I can get some use out of it for Dine Out. As for Build/Buy, I have no complaints...yet.

So far Im having alot of fun with my Werewolf Pizzacook :)
Havent even touched waffles yet...

Pros
- 2 Aspirations
- can make and collect pizza while tending the stall (Multitasking for the win!)
- pizzaoven/waffelmaker/mixer can be left alone while cooking/prepping
- Alienpizza
- probly other stuff I cant think of right now ...

Cons
- No pizza for other occults...
- I placed a stall on a marketplace lot, and my chef was able to place her pizza on it by dragging and start a sake, but she didnt get any money from it...this is kinda disappointing since the other sales tables at marketplaces work differently (if you tend it you get the money even if you dont own the stall)
- the small dishwasher looks like it should fit into endpieces of counters, but it doesnt and looks weird in normal counters (where is it suppossed to go? Am I missing something here?)

Neutrals
- BB and CAS is not my favorite but its fine, I generally welcome almost anything new to CAS/BB I just like variaty in the game in general.
My werewolf looks cute in her apron ;)
- Pizza in boxes for homemade is weird but also...whatever

What it really comes down to is that it's fun to play with.
Btw. upgrate your ovens, mixers, wafflethingies so they dont break/catch fire (as much? my pizzaovens havent caught on fire at all since I upgrated them and I use em ALOT).

I love this pack but…
1. I wish the prepared ingredients had lids.
2. The pizza boxes ?
3. Lack of cross pack functionality with Dine Out. Bob’s Wafflehouse is on hold until (hopefully) an update fixes this and he’s sad about it.
4. Ability to set waffle toppings like ice cream. (I know I’m asking for too much lol)

Other than those four things, my foodie heart really loves this pack.

Great gameplay, only a couple of things pull it down.
The swatches are all a bit "samey" very muted, would have been nice to have had some brighter options.

When running a stall on a home lot have found that customers aren't keen to leave, in fact they've been hanging around in the garden chatting long after the sale is finished. To the point my sim went out and when she came back four of them were still there at midnight.

The appliances do burst into flames occasionally, it adds drama but something to be aware of.

Still a very solid pack though, good fun.

I give it a 9. Im mostly happy with it. I love bright colors and pastels so thats the only thing I miss, pastel colors for the waffle pan and pizza oven. The pink waffle pan is in my dreams lol.
