Horrible at making male sims.

I'm horrible at making male sims. They never look manly and it looks as if my female is married to a very feminine-looking teen!

I'm better at it than I was at sims 3, but I've always been better at making female sims. Don't know why.

I don't know why but it in the sims 3 I used to make pretty decent looking male sims. For whatever reason in the sims 4 the males just look weird.

I think it is all in the eyebrows! :)

You know you are not the only one. I have noticed a lot of popular sims in the gallery having that problem as well. They look good as a male or female but when you change them as the opposite sex to see how would they look they look horrible. Thus making not really attractive offsprings. What I do when I make a sim is going back and forth from male to female gender until I have balanced attractive looks in both genders.

They look more cartoon-ish than** the females I make, maybe skin mods would fix this, but still :(

1) My male sims look like pretty men 2) I like pretty men 3) My men look like men.. just pretty oh i said that already. I use physique, eyebrows, jaw structure, and facial hair to make my men distinct from women. Most of my men would make ugly women but they make cute men.

Just add a beard, that's what I do. Problem solved.
Also, I think I have a thing for Santa Clause? :*

several tips for manly man :

* lower the eyebrows towards the eyes
* make the eyes little smaller
* the nose wider (not just the nostrils but also the bridge)
* the jaw wider
* the lips thinner

of course not every man looks like this but at least one of those points should be in a male face
