Completely disagree. The way it is now puts the power in my hands rather than in the hands of somebody at Maxis and I like it that way. I just wish they did a better job tagging the clothes is all.
I mean, the problem is that clothes only keep a sim cool, for instance, if the clothes are tagged as warm weather clothes and it's placed in the "warm weather" outfit category. So that's not really much control. If I put clothes on them for their hot weather outfit that isn't explicitly labeled as hot weather clothing items, the sim will still overheat. But, if I put clothes that are labeled as warm weather clothing in other outfit categories, like sleep or or workout...then they will still overheat. I thought I could make a warm weather and cool weather sleep outfit to keep them warm/cool during extreme weather, but that doesn't work. And the actual warm and cold weather outfits are still limited to clothes actually labeled as such, so there's not much wiggle room there either. I really don't see how there's any control for the player when you're so narrowly restricted to ONLY those options. The weather effects the sim no matter what--I just want a little more versatility in the options of how to deal with it.
