How are you preparing your game for Island Living?

Are you creating new Sims, preparing your current households, making new builds or what are you doing to get ready for Island Living?

I am trying to figure out which households I want to move or if I should start a whole new save.
  • I'm testing out different mods and lots types so as to find a way for my sims to go on holiday there.
  • My teen just became a Global Superstar. (He was already a Superstar via RTF) but he's caught up with the GF mechanism. I will continue to play him and continue to work on his romance with his high school sweetheart until such time as I age them both up to YAs. Then, they shall be wed and I will have them 'rent' a house on the island for a honeymoon. His older brother just became a YA, he's next in line, to be followed by another brother and their only sister. I may have to only leave a Sim day or two between them all to establish birth order. I do want time to play the sister's family, so I may not get to the honeymoon immediately. Or, the sister may make it there, first. Depends on my mood. ;)
  • I think it's pretty obvious beach and ocean-dwelling are going to be exclusive to the new world. There isn't really any prep that can be done in this case. Once the pack is out and installed though, I will be spending hours editing some Sims, and of course editing the Maxis lots.
  • I'm keeping up with my current legacy, hopefully her son will be a young adult and moving out by then ^-^ gonna make him be a lifegaurd and fall in love with a townie in the new world.
  • I'm doing a round of aging up in my save. I've picked out a few Sims who'll be moving :)
  • I'm not. I don't think I'm going to get it, Mermaids, peak more of my interest. I'm talking of a Trident, or a certain nautilus shell that holds actual power.

To be fair my Game has been ready for Realm of Magic for a good 2 years now. MY Character's are created, My Chateaux and Castles, built and furnished.
