How do I stop patients from leaving the hospital

Nope. No way to prevent them leaving if left waiting.

Remove all of the doors and hold them captive.

Just kidding. I'm having the same problem so I started renovating the hospital and adding a few more patient beds. This helped my issue because I noticed that a lot of the sims were getting off the patient beds to let another sim on. When I added more beds, I noticed that the sims would just move to another. I don't know if this will help you, but it certainly helped my situation.

i'd suggest - just stop paying attention to those patients living cause it's of no consequence if you just care to fulfill the objectives for your promotion, even if it is having a talk with a coworker, that's the most important thing - the objectives the game is giving you to fulfill this is the only important stuff, patients living isn't
my doctor is meantime at level 9, so i must be doing it right, right ? :wink:

& play with the pause key inbetween !,
right after your doctor fulfilled a task hit the pause key & order your sim to go straight for the next task, even if it means that your current patient won't get cured because you have to care for another one
at the end of the doctor's day it doesn't count how many patients your sim has diagnosed correctly & not how many are healed but if your sim was able to reach the gold status fulfilling the given tasks

I have the same problem. At first it didn't matter if they left, I'd just focus on treating the patients I already had, but now my doctor is level 5 I get told off by the game every time somebody leaves. I can't spend all day admitting people or I'll never get anything done!

I don't think it affects the career performance though so at the moment I just carry on ignoring them and working towards my goals instead.

At first I didn't get a pop-up when sims left. But now my sim is on level 7, I get them all the time! And by the way, the performance goes WAY down every time someone leaves! Totally ruins the whole career for me.. With the way things are now I will never be able to reach the top of the career.

Thanks all, I changed the hospital around so I have four main rooms that have one bed, scanner, treadmil, annyliser (sp), and computer in it, to save on walking the whole time, so perhaps I will make another room and just chuck a couple of beds in there for spare, my sim never gets to see that many sims anyways, so she can just tend to the ones in the special rooms I created. How do I edit the hospital? I can’t find it and from what I read elsewhere it can’t be accessed from the map.
