Only reason i dont reccomend modding them is because it causes problems. If even if you make the limit to 9 then it makes the other sims disappear which is why i say I increase with no problems
Yep, and there's even problems when going into CAS as you can actually lose a sim, so I don't bother modding that out. Think the max I've ever had in a household is 5. - LiELF7 years agoLegendI'm in the pets camp for this one. Since Cats and Dogs, I've wanted to add some animals to a few large households, or allow them to breed their pets and I didn't have the space.
I actually had a similar issue when Vampires came out, too. There was a household that I wanted to add a Vampire to, because I couldn't just quickly change an existing Sim into a Vampire without going through the process of taking them out to meet one and build a relationship, etc.
But I'd like it if we could have two more household slots, even if it was just for pets. - Busufu7 years agoSeasoned AceUsually I never have more than 2 - 3 Sims (+ 1 - 2 pets) in one household. So I'm totally fine with the current limit. Currently I have 2 households with 7 / 8 Sims/pets and I'm so overwhelmed :D.

It mostly bothers me that we can only have 8 sims including pets, whereas in TS3 you could have two pets that didn't count against the human sim limit.
I'm fine with the current limit, but since pets aren't playable/controllable I wish they didn't count against the 8 Sims limit -- maybe allow up to 4 pets above and beyond the 8 playable Sims. My usual limit is about 4-5 Sims.- Sigzy_297 years agoLegendI just wish we could have two extra pets over the 8 sim limit like in previous games.
- atreya337 years agoLegendThe current limit is totally fine for HUMAN sims. I think pets should not count towards the limit. It would be nice if pets were counted seperately. But as I rarely play with pets, that doesn't bother me too much.
- It's a bit hectic for me but at same time I'd like to be able to have more since my Sims always get whims for more kids, and maybe I could have the grandparents live with them and still have as big a family as they seem to want
- I've never had an 8 sim household except for a legacy challenge in Sims 3. I had 15 sims living in one house.
- I love playing really large families. I get kinda bored if I have a small household. :D
The option in MCCC to have more than 8 sims works for me, but it would be nice if it was an official thing in the game as well. - Jayel-17 years agoSeasoned AceI tend to stick to small families, but I can see the issue when pets add to the head count.
