How do you feel about the "Opposite Attracted" sentiment?

I don't think it's something that will happen too often so I'm not worried at all.

honestly I don't feel like sentiments will do much in my game because they vanish so easily and they seem to be oh so very vague

they really should have brought back the permanent memories like ts2 instead and then added cheat to remove particular ones you don't like

because now i don't like how your sims get memory loss about important moments they remembered just fine before because they got another random sentiment and it kicked out other one

as for the particular sentiment honestly don't care way or another it seems to just be another happy buff creator

I think this can happen and there may be players who want to play that way, so I'm fine with it as an option.

I would need to play through the sentiments myself to have a major opinion on them. I agree that I think most NAPs from EL are nice ideas in theory but actually need further editing. I'd be open to seeing more added if they can tweak the concept. For lifestyles and sentiments, I will need to see them in action. I get that they are trying to help players who want to play very different games.

I've sometimes had a few more villainous sims. It may also be the case that I would want to play some sims with more drama. Currently, that's a little bit limited. I can see how this trait might be useful for that.

@Simmingal I feel like they are avoinding those SIms 2 styled memories, cuz thats what could cause a save file or even the game to corrupt in Sims 2. BUT we are in 2020, they should have thought about better solutions than avoiding the problem, cuz honestly... memories was what made Sims 2 the best (except for those random and useless cockroach memories).

I'm counting on modders to tweak sentiments and make them longer or permanent. I also think they might fade to fast.

To answer the question in real life I know of exactly 6 relationships where opposites attract including my parents who were together for 40 years with no arguments that I ever seen. And they have absolutely 0 interests or things in common.
And the other relationships I know of, rather they argue or not I have no idea but they definitely don't have anything in common and total opposite personalities.

In my sisters relationship she is outgoing, energetic, non religious, fun loving etc
He is shy, quiet, religious,indoorsy type
And here they are still working it out ??

I think opposites really do attract (not all the time)
But in the game It shouldn't be an ALL the time thing. I would hope its 50/50 like real life.

I would like it if this is a random sentiment that sometimes happen, sometimes not. We need the sims in TS4 to be unpredictable, and sentiments such as this one, if it was random (meaning it could happen with one sim but also possible for it not to happen with another sim with the exact same traits that filled the same requirements) could make playing and meeting sims more exciting.

I personally love this, in my case in real life this has been a thing many times for me, in friends and dating. I think it’s just different for everyone and it could possibly create drama which is always welcome in my game.?

I didn’t get the impression that it makes it easier to get two sims together if they’re opposites. It’s just a type of connection they have based on their relationship.

Yeah, this seems more like a thing you’d earn once they’ve already started dating or something, not a thing the game just dumps on you because a cheerful and gloomy sims locked eyes once.

This thread makes me wonder about how the game will handle sentiments for premade/cas sims.

It doesn't matter to me, because in my experience, I can get any two Sims to go from strangers to married in one day. The lone exception to that is if they have the "non-flirty" trait--that one requires more work to overcome
