- aaronjc1237 years agoSeasoned VeteranI create one, or edit a preexisting Sim to my liking.
- I'm a control freak, so most of the time I create someone in CAS that they meet in their teen years from being in the same club. Occasionally I'll create multiple people and have them find who they jell with most but usually they get with their first boyfriend/girlfriend. (Which I find cute)
- Just meet a random Sim and when it is the right one it works. Although I usually have young adult, teenager, and kid households downloaded from the gallery or created to use as townies. Otherwise all my Sims would have black hair, brown eyes and look of Asian heritage (thanks to City Living).

My random generated townies usually have dark skin, red hair, and Asian eyes with vampire coloured eyes  - aaronjc1237 years agoSeasoned Veteran

In my game, townies usually have red hair with pale skin and Asian eyes. Oh, and the male townies often have really wide hips. - I just always put a Romance Trait on all my sims.
- Nindigo797 years agoSeasoned AceI don't go by one system. My most recent pairing happened because it fit into my story. The Sims in question were not particularly interested in one another. At other times, two Sims just seem autonomously attracted to each other and it becomes part of my story. For some odd reason that I can't explain, Caleb and Don usually end up being very interested in each other autonomously. That's how they became my main household to begin with. I thought it was very sweet to see them stalk each other in every new game, I started
- ayyitsmell7 years agoRising AceI try to set my sims up together but sometimes it doesn't end up that way.
I made a male sim for my sim and when she went over to his house to meet him, she ended up having more chemistry with his friend (that I also made). So, I just let that be and got them together instead and it's been super cute. They're married with a big family now and they are still super cute with each other. I also made a sim one time and she got along better with female sims than male sims and would autonomously flirt with females more, so I got her with a woman instead and they're happily married. If I have a single sim, I just look for other single sims or NPCs in the town or at the bar. I usually have them chat for a bit, try a few romantic interactions, see what works or doesn't work, etc. I also try to see if they look good together lol
For 'chemistry', I look for their autonomous actions. I just look at who they get along with better honestly. & They often perform more romantic interactions on their own, like kiss cheek, hold hands, kiss, dirty jokes, etc. Also, if the other sim rejects your advances after one or two times, even if they accepted it before, I usually take it as a sign that its a definite 'No' and move on to the next one lol During dates or outings, I just let them go with the flow, just to see what they would do.
For example, My sim's daughter went on a date with her long term boyfriend but he spent most of the time texting/playing on his phone or talking to other tables rather than sitting at his own table and interacting with my daughter. I kept having to chime in and make sure the date was going smoothly but it would go from flirty to awkward in like 5 seconds. He also had said something that upset her, I think he was trying to prank her or something. I don't think it helped that she was going through a phase either lol Even the romantic decor couldn't fix that convo. Needless to say, they broke up. My sim's son, on the other hand, went on a date with his long term girlfriend and they had the same spark they did when they first started dating. They held hands, joked around, tickled each other, looked in each other's eyes, kissed, took pictures with each other, and kissed each other's cheek often. They were able to get in flirty moods without me having to do much, except order their dinner, have them snuggle on a bench, or make sure they were not dying. - Okay so I usually have a bunch of people from previous saves - either ones I've made and really liked, or sims born in game that were special. I then put them in the game and play matchmaker.
- Every sim that my sim likes that i don't want them to be with, I make that sim homeless until my stupid sim sees the light and chooses the one i want them to be with.
