How do you get clothes on mannequins?

I've never been able to figure out how to put clothes on the mannequins in retail.   Can someone help me figure this out? Thanks for any and all suggestions and help. Jan

You play as the shop owner and plan an outfit by clicking the mannequin (it takes you to CAS).
