How do you make peace with the randomly generated sims?

I sometimes look at them and delete the ones I really don't like, but other than that I just let them be.

I play on long lifespan and usually so that unplayed households slowly age in the background as I play my own sims or some premades I have decided to keep. So the randomly generated townies help to make it feel like time is passing as they grow old and die in the background. Sometimes if there is an interesting sim I will decide to move them to my households and that's the greatest compliment they can get.
